She woke up in the morning ready to make her great escape.
She woke up to the sounds of a Pink song playing in her mp3 player, “The passion and pain are gonna keep you alive someday.”
“Isn’t that the truth?” she said as she groggily rolled out of bed.
Last night had been amazing. She had pleased her boyfriend again, in so many ways.
“I love you, William Black.” she had said to him.
“I love you, Rachel Phipps,” he had said to her.
Amazing how love can change the very fiber of your being. When you’re in love food tastes better and music is sweeter, she had said to her good friend Kristin, her friend from POWER – Program of wellness, empowerment, and recovery.
She had started going to POWER in 2009, when she had been a completely different person.
